Setting up the color scheme for the new boards. In the process, I'm trying to keep the feel as much like this one as possible. In the past, we've had discussions about the black text on white or white text on black (what we have). Should I stick with replicating this style, or go with something different?

    Ugggh,

please no more black background... its hard to read. Seriously.

Wouldn't you guys like a change???

Can we at least try a black text on white background? Or it doesn't have to be black and white, but something close.

It would make it easier to read when your eyes are tired.

Take a look at other bulletin board sites, most use a dark text on light background. It looks better, and is easier to read = less fatigue at the end of a long workday.

I say we try something different for two weeks then vote on it.. We all paid for this so lets let everyone have a fair chance. If we try a new color scheme and nobody likes it then fine, we switch back and nobody has any resentments....
I say pink and lime green

The white on black is fine with me, but the blue on black for posts already read is a bit hard to see. As long as it is easy on the eyes is okay with me.

I like the black with white text it seems to be the easier on the eyes and agree with Greg that the blue link text is hard to read. Maybe orange or yellow.

I gotta say white on black too. I really think it is one of the easiest to read and I like the look of it as well.

Ok, here's how it will work. I've set the default style to match what we've got here. On the homepage, you can opt for an alternate view, which will be a basic black on white.

Not sure if there will be an option for "hot pink and green"
