    New guy here

    Hi everyone,

My names Jeremiah and this is my first vintage Chevy van. I've been wrenching on vintage Harley Davidsons for the last 10 years, and have always been a fan of vintage vehicles in general. I was offered my van as part of a trade deal for a 71 Harley sportster of mine, as soon as I seen a picture of the van I knew I had to have it! Haha. Thanks for letting me join the group, I hope to learn a lot here.

Welcome to VCVC, Jeremiah. The best site for early Chevy vans in the world and the only reason I can still work on mine. A wealth of knowledge and members. Share some more pics of the van!

    Thanks!

I was lucky enough to pick up my van running ( very poor) and driving. I wrench on vintage Harley's, and I've already noticed a few parts that are the same, so that makes me feel more comfortable haha. I've owned the van for about a month. After some fine tunning she is now running like a top. Now I'm focusing on getting her back to the stock ride height, the previous owner removed the rear shocks and pulled all but two leaf springs out.

    Tagging in.

Started here about 16 years ago. Just had to check in and glad to see so much great work being done to the vans. Just so you know I still have my '66 short. After putting in a new 350 V8The van got parked. Using a 2006 Chevy for work and the old one sits outside. The van is getting old but so am I. Happy to see you all here and I will check in more often. Marwink and Vanquish.

    Unhappy BvrWally Here!

    Guys,
Life threw me a major, unprecedented, "Curve Ball" 18 months ago, please excuse my absence?
A few very close friends on this site, know the whole "True" story?
I am trying very hard, to get my Early back on the streets, new ideas, new equipment as such, and I will be trying to "Fire" that sweet 327 up once again, after a 9 year hiatus??? LOL
In 4 days I go before a magistrate in the next county over, to finalize my divorce from Jewels.
Please bear with me and wish me luck! Sad to chuck 19 (9 legal) years.....but
    B.W.

    Semi new guy....

    Hello everyone, my name's Tommy.
As many of you know I've been posting on this site for a couple of months with my '64 build. That has kept me pretty busy since last Thanksgiving when the I-6 died, but I have loved the experience! I noticed this sticky and thought I'd introduce myself (even though I've been introduced to many of you by now). I'm a 37 year old Army vet that never married and with no children (except my dogs!), cars are my hobby (I used to be a GM mechanic) and where I like to spend my money. I bought this '64 from another member on here Charles Linsenbarth about a year ago, and we have become fast friends. Now that I've dropped a brand new crate 350 in this thing I'm hoping to drive it out to the VCVC get together in Missouri next year! (That is if I can get the running temps under control. Lol) I'm going for a mostly '70's look with this thing, while adding a few more modern amenities like a backup camera and touch screen navigation. Being on this site has been such an awesome experience! Everyone is so helpful, and it feels like a family spread throughout the country.
This van has become an obsession, and as my first van (and certainly my first early!) I've realized that there are things you can do with these vans to customize them and make them cool that you can't do with any other vehicle on the road. I enjoy browsing the threads and seeing what everyone has done to their early, all the while gathering inspiration as I build mine. I can't wait meet everyone in person and to see some of these works of art next year at the VCVC 20th anniversary!

    Hey all,

I am a new vanner. I almost bought my first van over 10 years ago when I was 16 but living in an apartment stopped me since I had nowhere to work on. It has never left my mind. I have wanted a short wheel base van ever since. Well dreams come true. I just bought a 68 g10. Project for sure but also gonna be my daily. We are car people through and through and chevy people on top of that. Hope to gather as much info from the well of knowledge on this site as possible.

She is a car person through and through. We are actually deep into restoring her 64 chevelle. It will be ready for paint in a month or two. We have had to start sharing the car money now so we can get the van on the road.

The chopped van. 1967 G20. No title or drivetrain. I'm gonna cut some stuff off I need for the other van but will sell off what I don't need.

This was my wife's first car and her daily driver since she was 16 until last year. We decided to change the quarters since they were very rusted out. Then we decided to switch to 4 wheel disc brakes, then we did the trunk, got new bumpers and by that time we decided the hell with it. Just do the whole damn car. So we have been sinking a ton of money into it.

There is no hood on the dog house. I will post it up after I figure out what all I will need to take off of it.

    68 GMC Van, 108 ", Powerglide automatic, with 307 V8

I'm trying to find someone with the same setup with pic's on the linkage for the reverse / neutral light setup. If someone has the parts they are selling, I will take them . 815-985-3094 Harold
