    Question

    while i have my van stripped down, i was wondering how hard would it be to chop the top, and where could i get it done, and how much shoud it cost? hey, i havent seen too many angle chopped chevies.

    chopping a van is tough because it's hard to get that long sheet metal line to look smooth again. So, I would suspect that a proper chop would be expensive. Also, keep in mind that you will have serious head clearance problems unless you're only 4 feet tall. I have my seats as low as I can possibly get them without some serious metal fabrication and I only have an inch of head clearance in my stock 64. If you chop more than an inch or two, you will have to find a way to drop the seats which could be tough. If you chop it less than 2 inches, what's the point? No one will even notice it anyway. Are you getting the impression that I'm against chops?
    Actually, I have nothing against them, but you need to really think it out before you do it.
