    I would say the rear plug is a very good guess
    You will need to pull the tranny & the flywheel(or flexplate) to expose it.

    I believe you need a 2" plug; GM P/N's 3826505 / 3789860 / 3835121

    Fuel gauge ...back at it again

    It would be good to separate the problem gauge or sending unit issue (and their related wiring).

    I suspect since you replaced three gauges (wiring check?) a good start would be on the sending unit...
